Most often, some believers asks Astrologers about their fate, the effect of their zodiac signs on their personal, professional and spiritual life. They tend to be curious to know the answer for these questions. They also tend to be satisfied after getting answers to these questions. There are about 6.7 billion people as of 2009 in the world and there are only twelve zodiac signs that exist in the Galaxy where we all live.
Vedic astrology, similar to Western astrology, believes that, each zodiac sign has its own nature and exercises its individual influence on the life of the human, but more than that, a sign happens to rise at the time of the birth of a person and this rising sign is called lagna. If we dig out, it wouldn't be difficult to find out that there could be more than 100 million people who could share the same zodiac sign, so does that mean that each one of these 100 million would experience a similar lifestyle, or would have the equal lifespan as others, or would face the same ups and downs in life? Apparently they wont. On a similar note, every 100 million people can share the same lagna, but even this does not mean that they all will live the same. So, how is that each one of us still have different experiences in life? What factors does really differentiates the lifestyle of one person with another? To answer this question, we need to understand the significance of Nakshatras (27 constellations) on human life. According to Hindu mythology, Moon had married all the 27 daughters of king Dakshan, who are the star constellations in the sky. The concept of Nakshatra is exclusive only to Vedic astrology, and is known to give much more accurate results. Nakshatras are the backbone of astrology and were taken into account even before Sign system was considered.
Nakshatras are considered throughout the astrological analysis. Each Nakshatra is further divided in four sections called Padas or charans. Consideration of charan is also very important during chart analysis as each charan of Nakshatra gives a different result. Each zodiac covers nine charans in total. Hence any zodiac will cover more than two Nakshatras. Therefore, based on about 108 charans, several astrological analysis can be done. After the analysis are done using these charans and nakshatras, we could then look into the kundlis and predict the future and this is how it's being done today. The bottom line is that nakshatra, lagna, tithi, vaar, karan, yog, dasha, antar dasha, pratee antar dasha, sukshma antar dasha, and lagna kundali are all required to perform an accurate astrological analysis.
